A missile car is typically a car that’s been beat up and pieced together with whatever parts you can find. In this video series, Formula Drift drivers Chris Forsberg and Ryan Tuerck show you how to build your own drift missile for under $5,000.
In the first episode, Chris Forsberg picks up a beat up Nissan 240SX chassis from his buddy Tony Angelo and a fresh used KA24DE motor from Nick DAlessio at Elite JDM. Forsberg then skillfully demonstrates how to tear down the drift car.
In Episode 2, they work to straighten out the frame and rip out as much of the interior as they can to save some weight. Then they swap out the blown motor with a newer, less crappy, factory 240 SX KA 24DE-T engine, souping up the horsepower with an Isis Turbo Kit and install a new Mishimoto radiators.
We’ll continue to follow along as they move forward with this crappy-looking but surely fun-to-drive drift car project.
